OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- A woman has died and a man is in critical condition after what police say was an apparent drug overdose on the grounds of a community center.

At around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Maryland-National Capital Park Police say officers responded to a 911 call at the Hillcrest Heights Community Center.

When officers arrived they found a man and a woman, both unresponsive, in the park near a playground.

They were both transported to United Medical Center, where the woman was pronounced dead. The man is in critical condition.

Police later identified the woman as Christine Szabo, 29, of Annandale, Va. The man has not been identified.

Park police have dealt with an unusual amount of incidents in Prince George's County this year in parks, including six shooting incidents that have claimed six lives.
