Mustang car wanted in Oxon Hill fatal hit and run

OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for a driver and a Mustang car with racing stripes in connection with a fatal hit and run that happened Tuesday night in the Oxon Hill area, Prince George's County police said.

The fatal crash happened in the 6600 block of Livingston Road around 11:30 p.m., authorities stated. The victim is a man. He was found in the road suffering from critical injuries, Prince George's County police said. The victim died at the hospital at little later. 

Investigators said the striking car may be a gray or white Ford Mustang with a racing strip. The car may possibly have front end damage. 

The investigation shows that the victim was standing in the road when he was hit by the car. Police said the car was traveling northbound on Livingston Road when the man who was not in a crosswalk was hit. The driver did not stop. The name of the victim has not been released yet.
