Oxon Hill double homicide under investigation

OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two people were fatally shot late Friday night in Oxon Hill, according to Prince George's County police.

The victims have been identified as 24-year-old Deangelo Green of Upper Marlboro and 35-year-old Rashard Jackson of Bowie, police said.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Audrey Lane for the report of a shooting at 11:55 p.m. When they got to the scene they found Green suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at the hospital a little later, police said. Jackson was found close to an apartment building. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe he ran after he was shot and then collapsed.

The investigation shows that the two men were standing outside when they were shot. Police do not believe this was a random act and are trying to identify suspects and a motive.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in the case.
