Police Seek Identity of Suspects in Navy Federal Credit Union Bank Robbery in Clinton

 

According to The Prince George’s County Police Department's Robbery Unit , they are working to identify the suspects shown in the above surveillance photographs.

 

Police Investigate Homicide in Fairmount Heights

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of 34 year-old Antwain Elisha Henderson that occurred early Wednesday morning in Fairmount Heights, Maryland.

On August 31, 2011, at approximately 5:00 a.m., patrol officers and fire fighters responded to the 800 block of Balsamtree Place for a vehicle fire.  Once the fire was extinguished, the burned body of Henderson, of the 5600 block of Coolidge Street, Capitol Heights, Maryland, was discovered inside the vehicle.  Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in this case.  The investigation is ongoing in this case.

Police Make Two Arrests in Fatal Stabbing in Riverdale

On July 14, 2011, at approximately 12:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 6200 block of 64th Avenue for a report of a cutting.  Upon arrival, the victim told officers that he was assaulted and stabbed in the parking lot while walking his dog.  Adkisson was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and eventually lapsed into a coma.  Adkisson died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, from injuries sustained from the assault.

Ferguson is charged with first degree murder and is being held on a no bond status.  Gails is charged with second degree murder and is being held on a $750,000 bond.  Robbery appears to be the motive.

Investigators will canvass the area along the 6300 block of 64th Avenue in Riverdale on Thursday, August 4, 2011, from 11 a.m. to noon, to try and find additional witnesses to the incident.  The lead detective in the case will be there and available for comment.

Jason Scott Convicted of Federal Home Invasion, Firearms and Child Pornography Production Charges

 

Greenbelt, Maryland - A federal jury July,18th convicted Jason Thomas Scott, age 28, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, on 11 federal felony charges relating to a series of crimes committed during more than 50 burglaries and nine armed home invasion robberies.  The convictions include armed carjacking, production of child pornography, theft of firearms and related gun charges.  Scott has been held in custody since 2009.  The trial started on June 28 and lasted for three weeks.

The conviction was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Theresa R. Stoop of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives - Baltimore Field Division; Chief Mark Magaw of the Prince George’s County Police Department; and Colonel Terrence Sheridan, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police.

Greenbelt, Maryland - A federal grand jury has indicted Darrell Jose Carter, a/k/a “Shorty,” age 43, of Fort Washington, Maryland; Jeffery Edelen, age 42; and Kendall Taylor, a/k/a “Shamsideen Salaam,” age 40, both of Washington, D.C. for conspiracy to kidnap and use of a handgun during a crime of violence, in connection with the home invasion of a bank employee.

Apathetic Property Management Cause Anger and Frustration for Residents

Nearly two years ago, a fire broke out at a Brookside Park Condominium building that displaced 24 families and has caused residents a world of problems.  Fortunately no one was hurt from the fire but the residents still today are waiting for a resolution to this issue.  Many residents have been scattered, even living in hotels, struggling with insurance companies and property management to find a way to make ends meet while hoping for the reconstruction of their building. 

Identity of Suspects Sought in Armored Car Robbery in Clinton

Prince George’s County, Maryland:  The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with an armored car robbery in Clinton, Maryland.

On April 25, 2011 at approximately 1:55 p.m., two suspects approached the victim from behind as he was transporting money in the 7800 block of Old Branch Avenue. One of the suspects displayed an assault rifle, the other suspect brandished a silver handgun and demanded the money from the victim. The victim complied and the suspects took an undetermined amount of cash and fled the scene in a white van.
