Favorite Friday's: Favorite thing to bring to a 4th of July BBQ?

Favorite Friday's: Favorite thing to bring to a 4th of July BBQ?

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than grilling outside at a bbq with all of your friends?

If you are not celebrating Independence Day on Sunday, July 3rd at Jackie's Restaurant in Silver Spring, Md. where they will have ample patio seating and games along with a mouthwatering menu: habanera bbq ribs, smoked beer can chicken, and squash kabobs (to name a few items off the menu), then you are definitely looking for something to bring to a family or friend's gathering pre-fireworks.

If you ask men, they always say “cold beer,” which I am not opposed to (especially the Bud heavy cans which now display the American Flag), but I love to bring a fun, patriotic gift for anyone who has a sweet tooth. My favorite thing to bring to a bbq is an American Flag cake!

Sponsored in part by WPGC and CBS Radio, it featured open mic performances, video games, rock climbing, campfires, swimming and roller skating, all free of charge for teens in attendance.
