WUSA9 is proud to present our first-ever Post the Most contest...post the most stories to the WUSA9 community websites from August 1st to August 14th and win an awesome prize!

The community content producer (CCP) who posts the most stories within the allotted time frame wins a prize. It's that simple. This offer applies to all existing CCPs, and to all the new CCPs we're hoping to sign up this week.

The winner will be selected based on the number of approved stories published by the end of business hours on Monday, August 15th.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, August 16th on all of our 53 community websites.

Maryland's 2011 ADA Celebration Comes To Prince George's County

 

Marylanders from across the State joined in the statewide celebration of the 21st Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Held at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland College Park, the event will focus on how far society has come in promoting the rights and community inclusion of people with disabilities in their efforts to lead productive, meaningful and independent lives.

Paramedic is American Legion EMS Provider of the Year

Each year the American Legion awards public safety officials at the county, district and state levels for extraordinary service to their Departments and to their community. This year, a Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department paramedic was awarded at every level including the top spot in the State. At the 93rd Annual Convention of the American Legion - Department of Maryland,  Pamela J. Graham was awarded as the “2010 Career EMS Provider of the Year.”
