Local Sorority Partners with The Mall at Prince George's to Help Families in Need

The Iota Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is Prince George's County's oldest chapter. It's members have been making significant contributions to Prince George's County and its citizens since 1970, and continue the tradition this holiday season.

This year, AKA’s Family Committee which adopts families in need throughout Prince George's County, has formed a partnership with The Mall at Prince George’s in order to enlighten the community with issues that their neighbors face on a daily basis.  An “Angel Tree,” has been placed in center court with names of the 21 children whose ages range from newborn to 17-years-old. AKA hopes that people will donate unwrapped gifts to help the families and children in need to brighten the holidays for those in need.
