Gaylord National's Holiday Attraction Returns; Will Feature 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas!'

This story came to us from Amie Gorrell of the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center:

Guess WHO is coming to the Capital Region this year? He’s mean; he’s green, and he’s taking over the holidays at Gaylord National Resort, the Washington D.C. region’s “Capital of Christmas.”

ICE!, the smash-hit attraction that amazed nearly two-hundred-thousand visitors to the Gaylord National Resort last year, returns with an exciting new theme:
“ICE! featuring How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”

Open daily from Nov. 18, 2010 through Jan. 9, 2011, this one-of-a-kind experience will warm all hearts…even a heart that’s two sizes too small. Bringing to life the 1957 Dr. Seuss classic tale, ICE! will feature scenes straight out of the pages of the original storybook, all sculpted from TWO-MILLION pounds of ice and hand-carved by 40 artisans into full-color, amazing detail. The indoor walk-through attraction brilliantly showcases how the “Who-villehating” Grinch learns the true meaning of Christmas.

Visitors will take an adventure through the Grinch’s frozen world, see jaw-dropping ice sculptures and walk through larger-than-life scenes that re-create the original storyline. They’ll see the Grinch’s devoted companion, Max the dog, and his favorite Who, named Cindy-Lou. Little and big kids alike can even race down two-story-tall slides made completely of ice!
