Want to Set Sail From Oxon Hill? You Can On The Minnie V!

There are just a few warm weekends remaining before the cool air of Autumn descends on the East Coast, which means there is still time to set sail on Oxon Hill's own Skipjack Minnie V.!

The Minnie V. was built over 100 years ago on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and has historically been used for oyster dredging.  Today, it is open to the public to sail the Potomac on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 

The Minnie V. schedule is as follows:

Fridays - 5 and 7 pm*
Saturdays and Sundays - 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, and 7 pm*
*Minimum of 10 passengers is required for 7 pm cruise.
(weather permitting, 20 passenger limit)

On Saturdays, the Minnie V. offers a sunset fireworks cruise as well.

Adult tickets cost $20, while children under the age of 12 can ride for $12.  Minnie V.

Prince George's County Track Club Wins Big at AAU Jr. Olympics

Track Express Track Club (TETC), Prince George County's finest track club has been competing in the AAU Jr. Olympics track meets for over 15 years, breaking records and winning a number of gold medals year after year.

This year, it is no different in Norfolk, VA, with member, Rashad Manning breaking the record in the Javelin Throw for the youth boys. He also won the gold in the Discus and silver in the Shot put.
